Vintage Radios: Pye P43 (brown)

Size (approx):

30cm x 22cm x 15cm (w,h,d)

Power: 200-225V / 226-250V AC Mains
Wavebands: MW (200m to 550m), LW (1000M to 2000m)
Controls: Left knob on/off/volume, right knob tuning, right side knob wave change
Design: Very square, but green front, woody coloured  knobs and blue background tuning glass is leading edge.  Pye logo in middle lights up when on.
Date: c 1957?
Manufacturer: Pye, Cambridge, England.  Ser. No. 220900
Comments: The front has been re-sprayed so I'll never be sure what the original colour was, and I haven't seen another one anywhere.
Line up: ECH42, EBF80, EZ40, EL41, Mullard fitted
