Vintage Technology: Components: Details of the TCC Micropak Electrolytic Condenser

This full back inside page, two colour trader advert from September 1950 shows how TCC was marketing their condensers (capacitors to you and me) to the trade.  Notice the cute cartoon men "Mr. Quest" and "Mr. Test".   Fascinating if you've ever wondered what's inside these metal-cased monsters that these days often need replacing.

The T.C.C. "Micropack" ranges of dry electrolytic condensers are fully tropical and compact.  The exceptionally wide temperature performance permits of use at extremely low temperatures.  Plastic protective sleeving can be fitted to insulate condensers from surrounding metal parts.

Range: 6 to 500v. D.C. working. Capacity: 1 to 100F
